Woof Me!

June 2009
Pat my head once to return to the main blog

June 30 2009 I am so excited!  Tonight is another Watercolor class and we're going to give away $100!  WOOF!  I always like it when my barking board is filled!  And we're already starting a new one!  Will YOUR name be on it?  You get your name on for every $50 you spend and that's going to be WAY easy to do in the new catalog!

Today is the last time that you can order the set that Ann used to make this card.  It's one of my favorite videos that I directed her in.

It's the last day that you can order the Love Notes used in the 6 Ways to Watercolor Class!  I'm amazed that they're still available at press time for only $9.71!  We're stocking up so that we can still sell them in our online class.  And it's the last day for Big Shot Babes to get FREE SHIPPING on their die orders.

Thought you'd get a kick out of my first commercial.  It's my first speaking part only because I didn't edit out my directing Ann to be sure that you get MORE than what you want from the class.

That's our motto that we chant:

   UNDER promise -

            OVER deliver!

If there's anything you need today from any of the retired lists at the top, DON'T HESITATE TO EMAIL OR CALL US AT 530-674-5090 so that we can get it for you!

June 29 2009 Today is a special day.  It's Dorothy's birthday.  She never met me but I know that she would've liked me.  If you ever get a good spot up front, you can thank Dorothy, Patron Saint of Parking Spaces.  She's STILL getting us good spots!  We call them "Dorothy Spots".  You should too!  Then she might start doing her magic for you too!

Dorothy would've been 98 today.  And she would've been a good 98, not an old falling apart 98.  The FIRST time of the three times she went to Europe, she was 75.  She could give us all a good lesson on how to get older - NOT get old.

And today's featured card is one that we don't want to forget either.  Birds are still a hot commodity in stamping, but this A Little Birdie Told Me set that is retiring.  Reminds me of that Twitter Bird!  (never mind the retired colors & ribbon)   Tomorrow is the last day that you can get it AND the last day that you can get an extra $25 with a $250 order!  (for a total of $60 PLUS a free stamp set!)  Gotta love that!  There are a few things added to the retired accessories list to check out too!

To celebrate, I let Ann do 6 "Talkie" videos to teach you all how to Watercolor better with different Stampin' Up! products.  You can sign up here & make the projects along with her.  Gotta love that!

June 27 2009
The videos from the 6 Ways to Watercolor Class are posting today.  Those of you who signed up for the Online version will be receiving your link & password to the videos.  Ann did quite well in her first "talkies".  If you listen really well, you'll sometimes hear me barking outside to the neighbor's dog to keep quiet on the set.

If you want in on this way cool online video class, you can find out more here or just go ahead & register on the right & get exclusive access to Ann's training video "talkies" & 10% off of the supplies listed when you buy them this month.

Stampin' Up! has advised us that the Bermuda Bay pad & reinker will not be ready on time & they're replacing the one that we bought too.  Apparently, it doesn't hold the color for a long time after it's been stamped.  We're still including it in the Lucky 7 bundle, but it will be shipped separately.

You can view the We will sell no ink, pad or paper before its time.

June 25 2009 The first box of 2 cases of Stampin' Up! catalogs came & left yesterday.  Ann was packing them up & getting those special patriotic envelopes ready for me to lick closed.  Don't worry.  I gargled first.

If you preordered a catalog for mailing & do not get a USPS shipping notification by today, please email me & I'll chase the postman for you.

We're getting the rest of the Stampin' Up! catalogs today.  Next stop?  Ann's taking all the Club Members' catalogs to get them wire bound so that they can have them this weekend.  THEN it's back to start packing & shipping more catalogs off to my blog buddies.  I saved a couple extra so if you want one, just click that button above right so we can get it to you lickety split.

I've got some Sweet Treats to share with you.  That's what I'm calling Ann's product shares.  It's such a treat to have samples of all the stuff!  The Ribbon Sweet Treat was posted yesterday.  You can still get it.  Today's Sweet Treat is my Lucky 7 special!

You get all this ordered for you on July 1st as soon as they let Ann onto the site.  Orders will be placed in the order received so don't wait!:
  • 1 of each of the ink pads of the 6 New IN Colors!
  • A pack of 6 IN Color Markers!
  • An assorted pack of 8-1/2" x 11" Textured Cardstock!  NEW ITEM!
  • BONUS: A complimentary tutorial to make 4 cards & a portfolio featuring Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper

All this for $77.77!

Bermuda Bay Ink Pad
will be shipped separately.

If it's not good enough
for Stampin' Up's standards,
we'll send it as soon as it is!

June 24 2009 It's sharing time again!  Let's kick it off with a share of the new polka dot ribbon!  It's it just cool enough to bark to your friend about?  Ann has more IN Color shares going out to her newsletter list today or tomorrow, but she let me put this one up.

So here's the deets on this Sweet Treat!

  • You can buy a Single or a Double Treat
  • Single Treat is 3 yards of each of these gorgeous colors
  • Double Treat is 6 yards of each of these gorgeous colors
  • We need 5 people to complete a Treat Buy
  • The first order will be placed in the wee hours of July 1st.

You will love this double sided ribbon that is plain on one side & dotted on the other.  Hope you're on the newsletter list because you may find even more Sweet Treats in your mailbox!

I'm thinking of having Ann make me a new leash!  You can see a sample card here that was featured in the June 18th post.

June 23 2009 Left home again.  Grrrrruff!  They won't let me in the Pizza Place where Ann holds some of her team meetings just because I have 4 legs.  You'd think that they'd let the mascot in!  I know those 24/7 Stampers were thinking of me with high regard in my absence.  That's just the way that Stampin' Up! Demonstrators think.  Ann told me so.

But she came back with some cool cards that I'll be sharing soon.  In the meantime, here's a card that Teresa did with Ann & the stampers at the Stamp Fest.  I meant to show them to you before, but I must have blinked.  I think there's still some of that Rockabilly Designer Paper left on the Retiring Accessories list.  Make sure you get some before it's gone!

Gotta get back to licking envelopes.  It's another mail day for the 6 Ways to Watercolor class.  We're making a few extra this time for you latecomers.  Director, Greeter, Envelope Licker.... I'm a dog with lots of gifts.

June 22 2009 Here's one of Ann's cards for tonight's Shoebox Swap for our team of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators we call the 24/7 Stampers.  They're supposed to do something with the new stamp sets but she just couldn't resist making this card with my buddy Roxanne on Saturday.  This one uses the new Razzleberry cardstock & Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper, but they're going to stamp their own cool background.

Those towels on that card taste good.  I tried them myself.

She'll have another project too with a new set for them.  I'll see if I can post that tomorrow, but I may pick one I like better from one of my 24/7 Stampers.  They do great work!

June 21 2009 First, let me say Happy Father's Day to all you single moms out there who have to fill both jobs.  I know it can be rough, but it will be worth it.

So here's how I spent my Father's Day.  I let Cecil play photographer for a change.  Stampin' Up! asked for a picture of me, but I let Ann be in it.  What do you think of Cecil's picture taking skills?  Did he do me justice?  I think he was paying more attention to Ann than to me.

Speaking of pictures!  The poll from June 18th was a tie of Ann's two favorites!  You can click on these words to see the pictures.  Goofy & Down were tied for first.  Straight only got a few votes.  I'm letting my girlfriend, Doodles be the tiebreaker so we're calling Down the winner.  (She's convinced that I was thinking of her when the camera snapped the shot.  Who am I to say otherwise?)

Here's the card that I designed for Cecil.  Ann followed my directions, but I picke out a different tie & handkerchief.  A little origami from the past for my favorite guy!

Check us out tomorrow when I'll show you what we've got in store for our demonstrator group called the 24/7 Stampers!

Tomorrow's the last day for the Big Shot special to our newsletter readers.  Be sure you're on the list!

June 20 2009 Is it Summer yet?  Sure does feel like it around here!  We've been toying with 100 degrees!  I've loved this card ever since Mandy sent it to us.  It's so cool.  She made it with her Stampin' Up! Big Shot & the Flower Fest set.  There's some Circle Scissors Plus action in there too.

If you're on Ann's newsletter list, then you know what a good deal she has right now for all you Big Shot owners & want to be owners.

In fact, we're planning another Big Shot Play Day on July 25th.  You don't have to have a Big Shot to play, but if you wanted one, now would be the time to get one.

So sign up for the newsletter so you won't miss out!

TODAY'S THE LAST CHANCE TO VOTE ON MY PICTURE IN THE 6/18 POST.

Only 3 spots left on the Barking Board.  Someone's going to win a $100 Shopping Spree in the new catalog!  You get you name on for every $50 that you spend before tax & shipping OR when you host an in home workshop.

Just click here to shop now!

Are you going to be our next winner?  I hope so!

BE SURE YOU VOTE IN THE JUNE 18TH POLL!

My friend Martha made this card.  She is so smart!  I'm going to have Ann help me make it for Cecil.

Shh!  Don't tell him!  I want to see the look on his face when he gets it.  he'll be so impressed knowing that I personally cut all those tools out for him.

I think it's the last day to sign up here for the
6 Ways to Watercolor Class on Saturday,
June 27th.
It's going to be more fun with you here!  (see picture here)

June 18 2009 Ann & I are having a little bit of a dispute today.  We can't agree on which picture to show you all the stamp sets that Ann earned for FREE from Stampin' Up!.  So we're going to put it for a vote as to which picture features me & the stamps best.  Click these words for close ups:  Goofy  Straight  Down  (POLL CLOSED)

Please vote & let me know which picture of me you like best.  Tell the truth!  Is it me or the stamp set that makes your heart go pitter pat?

On second thought, don't answer THAT!

Voting is over on Saturday night, June 20th.  Send your friends.  I'd like to know what they think too!

And here's a picture of a swap card that Megan made for Monday night's swap for the 24/7 Stampers with this set.  Didn't she do a nice job?

Did you know that YOU can get YOUR Starter Kit sets from the new catalog now when you join Ann's Stampin' Up! demonstrator team of 24/7 Stampers?  You'll have them in your hot little hands to start your business right away even before the catalog is released!

Contact Ann with your questions.  That'll be your first of MANY good decisions.  OR our Help Wanted section has answers to general questions.  But if you want the newest stuff in advance like all the other Stampin' Up! demonstrators are getting, just talk to Ann today.  Find the phone & call her at 530-674-5090.

June 17 2009 I am WAY out of my comfort zone now!  How about a couple sneak peeks at the new catalog?  My favorite ball girl, Gail, was over here last night with the stampers at Stamp or Scrap night.  She & Ann played with stuff from the new catalog.

First, a guy card for those of you that need to come up with one for your favorite hunter Dad type.   This is from a set that's been around for awhile, but it's an almost exact copy of one from the new catalog.

You'll want this new catalog because not only is there the same beautiful cards to  drool over, there are lots that are easy for even a pup like me to recreate.  See where Ann let me help at the lower right?  Gotta love it!  Always better when I help!

Here's one for the girls that you can add to your Super Punch Book!  I had to get this on here before it's totally done so that you could see a little of the new colors!  That's Rich Razzleberry, Dusty Durango & a little bit of Crushed Curry peeking out.  The Mama San is wearing the new Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper.

Ann was WAY out of her comfort zone on this one, but Gail & I kept encouraging her!

Keep checking back for the new IN Color Bundle offer that's coming up.  We sell no product before its time at this Dog House.

June 16 2009 It's a big day today!  We're getting the pool ready with a new liner & today a new pool pump.  KaChing$!  I reluctantly let Ann get a picture of me while they were filling the pool.  Just click on it to see what it looked like before they replaced the liner.  It's WAY wierd to look at what's underneath that thing!

So today we're featuring a project from the new Country Living Summer Cookout kit!

This kit is only out for a limited time - the SUMMER TIME!  Here's how to make these cool chip boxes.  Enjoy!

June 15 2009 It's the Ides of June!  That means that there are only two weeks left to get those special sets from the retiring list!

Here's another cool card from Saturday's Stamp Fest.  It opens up to hold a gift card for the bride & groom.  This prototype was made with 5-1/2" x 11" cardstock, but everyone there made it with Textured 5-1/2" x 12" cardstock.  This one is in Pink Pirouette, but most of them made it with Baja Breeze.

Look for a Big Shot Special coming to you newsletter subscribers this week.  Gotta love that!  If you've already purchased a Big Shot from Ann, be sure you buy your dies now so that you can get your free shipping before June 30th.

Today's the last day to PRE-ORDER your new Stampin' Up! catalog & insure immediate shipping as soon as Ann gets her hot little hands on them!

June 14 2009 The things that I won't do for you!  The girls were about ready to come have a stampin' brawl with Ann so I went to the groomer.  Aren't I handsome enough already in my BEFORE picture here?

But NO!  I must look my best for my stampers!  My beautician Becky dropped everything to attend to my needs.  Becky adores me so I love her right back.

Here's one of the projects I chose for the girls to do at the Stamp Fest.  You should come next time!  Oops!  That's the inside.  It uses the retiring Wild About You stamp set (gotta get that before June 30th!  It's a must!).  AND check out that sign!  It's the Stampin' Up! Modern Label punch that you can buy on July 1st!

And here's the front of the card.  They could put any combo they wanted using the Stampin' Up! Wonderful Favorites set.  Guess who's going to get this for a graduation gift?

Gotta love it!

Be sure you're on Ann's newsletter list.  She's got something special planned for you too!  There are just a couple spots left on my Barking Board!  Then someone's going to win $100 gift certificate!  Will it be you?

June 12 2009 Tomorrow's a good day for me!  The Stampers are coming for a stampin' brawl.  I think Ann calls it a stamp fest.  Whatever it is, there's lots of ink & paper flying around!

Are you on Ann's newsletter list?  She's got something brewing really soon for those of you who want to be a Big Shot like me.  Grrr... She thinks it's HAVE a Big Shot.  I get so confused!  Just know that you'd better sign up quick because she's writing over there in her corner now!

But you won't when you watch this cool video they made about the Matchbox Die.  Stampin' Up! made it to keep up with the one I made last month!

Imitation is the highest form of flattery!  You go to the May 28th post or to the Video Gallery & see my version.

June 11 2009 I'd like to introduce you to a friend of mine.  He's my Aloha bear!

The Stamp Clubs are sure liking this guy.  He's almost as cute as me!  He's from the Under the Stars stamp set.

I told Ann to use the Scallop Oval Punch for the leaves & to sponge around the coconuts, but she was in a hurry.

Here's a Special Stamper Bark Out for those of you who'd like to make this at home.  Try one of these three options to make the card fit into an envelope.  Make the card & then at the end....

  • Cut it down so that everything INCLUDING the leaves measures until 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".  The Tabletop Cutter works best for this.
  • OR cut the leaves off even with the edge of the card.  The Tabletop Cutter works best for this too.
  • OR make it all fit on the card in the first place.

Enjoy!

June 10 2009 It was fun here at Central Bark last night!  They even learned some Origami!

This was going to be my Father's Day card to Cecil, but I think that Ann's going to sign her name to it.

If you like it, you'd better get it because it's on the Stampin' Up! hit list (AKA Last Chance or Retiring List).  The Real Deal Alphabet is retiring as well as the Manchester Designer Paper AND the Baja Breeze Textured Cardstock.

The tie is made from a 4" square piece of designer paper

Everyone purchasing online or at a club, workshop or event will get the easy to follow step by step picture instructions!  They're pretty easy to follow.  Club members & 24/7 Stampers will get a complimentary copy.

June 9 2009 I guided Ann to her stamp room & encouraged her to make this card last night.  It's that Pacific Point and Good Morning Sunshine paper that is going away.  And the greeting is from the Absolutely Fabulous stamp set that's going away too!

Psst!  When she wasn't looking, I handed her that new cool Modern Label punch for the greeting.  It's from the new catalog.  She told me she wasn't going to use any new stuff last night, but I'm a very resourceful dog.

It looks way prettier in real life - just like me.

June 8 2009 Ann disappeared yesterday.  Contrary to popular belief, I'm pretty sure I can type my own blog even without thumbs if she would just leave the computer on!  I've never been able to find the ON switch!  I think there's a secret code for it.

Here's another sample from a cool set that's about to do a disappearing act in the next few weeks, Stampin' Up's Bella Blossoms.  We featured this awhile back, but Deb did such a nice job on it that I want to be sure that you don't miss it!

Look close.  Those little dots & lines on the flower are glitter!  Deb's a 24/7 Stamper Girl from New York & does fantabulous work!  Love the ribbon too.  Ann said if I'm really good, she'll make sheets of that Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon for me.  So you'd better get yours before she grabs up the last of it because it's retiring too!

All the links to the Last Chance lists are up top as well as your chance to get on the newsletter list & get a free technique or pattern every month.

Be sure to contact Ann to get the new Stampin' Up! Catalog today!

June 6 2009 Thank you for all the nice kudos, stamper girls & guys!  Are you checking out the Last Chance list?  Everything goes away on June 30th so don't wait!  TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF THE 10% OFF THE LAST CHANCE LIST SALE!  Be sure to mention it when you place your order or Ann won't know that you saw it!  Email or call Ann today!

We just updated the lists last night.  They're shorter now.

Don't you just love this Pretty Amazing set?  I think it's pretty amazing, don't you?

It's on the last chance list too.  That reminds me....you should visit the Art Gallery.  I've had Ann mark the retiring galleries.  You might want to go in there and save pictures of some of the ideas for the retiring sets.

Anytime after June 30th, those just may disappear.  Poof!  We'd love to keep them, but recently had to pare down the site because of having SO MANY ideas on here!

I figured that you'd rather have new stuff than old stuff if you had to make a choice.

Out with the old & in with the new!  Kinda like cleaning out the stamp room which is what's keeping Ann popping these days.

June 5 2009 Here's a cool card done with a set that's going away.  We'll be saying "so long" to Seaside in just a few short weeks.  Hope you enjoy this cool card done by 24/7 Stamper, Christina.

I think I can convince Ann to do this cool dry embossed project at a Technique Geeks event soon.

June 4 2009 Did you see God flashing his flashlight last night?  WOOFDA!  It was awesome!  The news said it flashed over 1,500 times in one hour!  I sat right up close to the patio door so I could get a decent look because He's never flashed his flashlight so much around here.

I loved it so much that I was quiet & still.  It was fascinating!  Ann didn't think I could be that quiet!  She even turned off the TV & the 'puter just to watch me be quiet....and the flashlight show too.

Ann said that there's usually some rumbling sounds, but we never heard them even though His flashlight was really close.

Hope you like today's card.  Karen Johnson made with with Baja Breeze that will soon be a distant memory.

You should join our team too!  We have LOADS of fun!

All the 24/7 Stampers do nice work, but if you want one of these Carousel Notes, you need to act quick! They're 25% off until they're sold out.  She also used her Circle Scissors Plus to make the layer that opens.

We'll be showing some sneak peeks of the new catalog soon, but I don't want you to miss out on some of this good stuff too.

But for now, the sneak peeks are in the newsletter.
